Katy Perry and Elmo?

Okay, well since I live under a rock, I really had no idea that there was a ruckus created by Katy Perry being on Sesame Street.  Well, the truth is, until I heard of this today, I really had no idea who the heck Katy Perry was. I will say that I have heard of Elmo and Sesame Street.  I remember watching Sesame Street way back in the day when good old Bob was singing People in Your Neighborhood. I have know real idea if that is the actual name of the song or not, but do you really care?.  So, I looked at the video of Miss Perry’s appearance on the show and sure enough she was there singing in a funny hat and a dress that accented her none to large or small bosom. I like that word bosom, it’s almost as good as breast-esses.   Okay, so she looked kind of sweet and daffy and she was only a bit jiggly, so I really don’t see what the big deal is. The little ones who watch Sesame Street are surely aware that women have breasts, heck for many babies and small children they are of course a food source.  Just to get the fuller of idea of what Katy Perry is or is about, I went to her web site. Going to here web site is about as far as I am willing to go to research, but I figured if I was gonna write in my super awesome blog here, I should know a bit about her.  It seems to me that she is a nice young little old cute popster girl who dabbles by turns over produced slick quasi girl rock and todays pop/rap/hip hop stuff that is on the radio stations that play pop music for non-radical teens.  I have actually even heard a song or two of hers and by golly they are sort of pleasant to listen to.

Will the madness never stop!

So in the interest of being scattered and never having a solid topic to write about. I heard today that a video of the entire seventh game of the 1960 world series was found in Bing Crosby’s basement.  How totally weird that is. The article I read said that Bing Crosby was part owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

I was a Pittsburgh Pirate fan as a kid. I grew up in the 1970’s which was a pretty good time to be a pirate fan. They went to two World Series and a handful of playoff during that decade.  I had always heard about the 1960 world series from my father and other family members (that’s a lie).  When I was a kid and first starting to like baseball and the Pirates, Bill Mazzeroski was still playing for them. At the time he was just a part time player and I believe the starting second baseman was a dude name Dave Cash. Isn’t this all just totally interesting?

When life hands you lemons…..

Well, you know, when life hands you lemons you make key lime pie right? I really don’t know whether that is sound advice or not. I am actually quite challenged when it comes to making this kind of stuff work. I will probably have the most boring blog in the world. Good for me eh?
